Greetings and salutations! This is a story of a full-fledged 'Kootenay Boy' who has returned home to the good life. After growing up and finishing school in this glorious region, the big city and bright lights of Vancouver beckoned. Over nine years were spent there as I obtained my Degree in Tourism Management and joined the Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts group in 1996.
At the 'turn of the millennium', the bigger city and brighter lights of London, England, requested my presence. Having English citizenship through family, I continued to hone my service skills from the world's leader in guest satisfaction eventually managing a team of 16 who hailed from all over the world. After 10 years with Four Seasons, and better part of 7 years in England, different, yet familiar, challenges were desired.
Kimberley became the place to call home and I could not be more excited about what the future has in store! For you city dwellers, imagine a utopia where the commute is a few minutes (by foot or vehicle), the only time queuing is waiting for the deer to cross the road, when it rains you actually look forward to a day inside (all that snow in the winter and sun in the summer, you know!) and, for the most part, everyone you come in contact with is happy and friendly, more than willing to go the extra mile to help.
But do you want to know the best part of living in Kimberley? Quality of life: pure, unadulterated quality of life. First of all, in modern terms, the Great Outdoors is an instant download, literally in this beautiful little city's backyard. A growing inventory of quality cafes and restaurants along with a number of quaint shops provide amenities and services discerning residents demand. If there is something one cannot find in Kimberley, the regional city of Cranbrook is a mere 20-minute drive. Fantastic.
I could go on and on. Basically, I very much look forward to hearing from you as there is still a lot of opportunity in Kimberley, both residentially and commercially. Just don't wait too long...
Best regards,
Jason
